Thank you, BrianTimmy, for the recognition. I hope that the Superlongevity Wiki can help fill in the gaps and fix the errors that inherently come with the topic of superlongevity. It's not ready for public recognition yet — I think it's still a bit undercooked — but I appreciate it nonetheless.
Do understand that a major motivator for the creation of the Superlongevity Wiki was how disillusioned some fans of supercentenarians have become with the way that this wiki is conducted. LongeviQuest has produced some real results, but is not allowed as a source on this wiki — thus there must be alternatives. My goal is not to replace this wiki.
Michaelback: "Did they copy us?"
No, the Superlongevity Wiki isn't a "copy" of this wiki. Some aspects are similar, such as the page subjects, but that is to be expected for a wiki less than two months old…
See it as similar to how political parties operate. You may be seriously inclined to one party as opposed to another, but you should still recognize that it is important that multiple parties exist. Otherwise, the government is always led by people who hold the exact same beliefs and there is going to be no accountability.
As for how editing on the Superlongevity Wiki works — every page and piece of information is done individually. In fact, there is a whole other wiki about supercentenarians that got ravaged by admins because the information was a carbon copy of this wiki. Most of the pages were written by bots, in contrast to the Superlongevity Wiki.
