For everything:
PROVE IT
Your explanations are of a really bad quality since your claims are inconsistent. If you first say that the GRG started implementing the term "validated" a decade ago but there are tables that still use the term "verified" as of today (the 2015 version was uploaded in late 2016/ early 2017) it is bound to cause issues when people edit.
I understand the difference perfectly well and am only pointing out that this controversy causes problems. When was the last time I used the term "verified" in any edit on this wikia? I have actually had edits I made to correct the term "verified" to "validated" undone by others here because "verified" is the term that is mostly used by most users.
Check the 110 Club, which most of the editors come from, there the term "verified" is the most commonly used term. The most viewed tables here on this Wikia also use the term "verified". If a change from "verified" to "validated" should be made a bigger announcement of this should be made because few users actually participate in these discussion.
Is there any reason that you are arguing this? Please explain how making this easier for everyone (using one term consistently instead of two) is not helpful?Ryoung122 (talk) 02:56, January 23, 2017 (UTC)
Some of the most cited GRG tables use the term "Verified".
http://www.grg.org/Adams/A.HTM "Table A - Verified Supercentenarians (Listed Chronologically By Birth Date)
http://www.grg.org/Adams/B.HTM "Table B - Verified Supercentenarians (Ranked By Age)"
Since the lists are based on the GRG data (at least the validated/verified cases) it only seems logical that the same term (verified) exists in the Wikia-lists as on the GRG lists.
GRG tables still use the term "verified" as of 2015.
Considering that some users are pushing for "verified" being replaced by "validated", I believe that this should be edited.
