Ada Stone (née Prigeon; 5 February 1850 – 8 April 1960) was an unverified American supercentenarian and ex-slave.
Biography[]
Ada Stone was born as Ada Prigeon in Texas, USA on 5 February 1850. Her parents were Emanuel Prigeon and Emeline Line Bryant. Her father, as a slave, was sold before her born and she never met him. She was John Mooney's slave in Peach Creek, Wharton County, Texas. Allegedly, her mother lived to be 113.
She married Green Stone in 1875. The couple had one daughter: Sarah Bateman (1876–1976) who lived to be 99. She was widowed in 1913 and lived with her daughter Sarah in Gonzales following her husband's death.
Ada Stone died in Gonzales, Texas, USA on 8 April 1960 at the age of 110 years, 63 days. She was survived by her daughter, two grandsons and two great-grandsons.
