Adelia Mead (14 February 1885 – 10 November 1995) was a validated American supercentenarian.


Mead was born in New York, United States on 14 February 1885 and died in Nebraska, United States on 10 November 1995 at the age of 110 years, 269 days.

Adelia was the daughter of William Dwight Mead (1850-1910), who died in a car accident, and the former Lena Brown Mead (1851-1945), a suffragist and president of the York Woman's Club. Her paternal grandparents lived to 93 and 94 years respectively.

Adelia had one brother who was an engineer, and three siblings who were educators. One younger brother lived to 101 years of age.

Adelia worked as a teacher in York, Nebraska for many years. She hosted round tables on the use of correct English. She regularly appeared in the Lincoln Nebraska State Journal society pages.

Mead never married and she was survived by nephews and nieces.
