Adeline Robeson (née Martin; 20 September 1880 – 18 August 1992) was an American supercentenarian who, at the time of her death, was the oldest living person born in Iowa, as well as the second-oldest living person in Illinois, behind Wilhelmina Kott.
Biography[]
Amina Adeline Martin Robeson was born in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie County, Iowa, USA on 20 September 1880. She was the daughter of Jeremiah and Francelia Shear Martin.
In 1882, her family moved to Schuyler County, and in 1891 she moved to the south of Macomb. She married James Robeson on 20 September 1904 and widowed on 28 July 1971. She had lived in Galesburg since 1945.
Adeline Robeson diedin Galesburg, Knox County, Illinois, USA on 18 August 1992 at the age of 111 years, 333 days. Her age was verified by the Kestenbaum study.[1][2] Her daughter Eleanor Solomon (1915–2014) lived to be 99.[3]
