Adma Tura (née Messen; 25 December 1906 – 1 September 2018) was a Lebanese-born French supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She may be the oldest known woman ever born in Lebanon.
Biography
Adma Messen was born in Kaytouli city, Lebanon (then the Ottoman Empire). She married a French soldier, Pierre Tura in Beirut in July 1939. They had three children, Gabriel, Rose and Jean. In 1940 the couple moved to Argeles-sur-Mer, France. Since then, she had never left the village. Adma lived at home, supported by nurses, housekeepers and her family.
Tura died in Argeles-sur-Mer, Occitanie, Pyrenees-Orientales, France on 1 September 2018 at the age of 111 years, 250 days.
