Adna Hays (née Allen; 23 December 1887 – 7 March 1996) was an American centenarian from Kentucky.
Biography[]
Adna Hays was born as Adna Allen on 23 December 1887 in Breathitt County, Kentucky, USA. Her parents were Alfred Allen and Nancy Campbell. For many years, she worked as a post mistress until her retirement.
On 28 September 1905, at the age of 17, she married Adam Hays. Together, they had at least 12 children (six sons and six daughters). She often enjoyed riding horseback with her eldest daughter, Lorna.
In December 1987, she celebrated her 100th birthday and became a centenarian.
For the majority of her life, Hays lived at a farm in Breathitt County, Kentucky, USA. She died on 7 March 1996, at the age of 108 years, 75 days.
