Albertina Alves de Albuquerque (9 November 1909? - 13 April 2024) was a Brazilian supercentenarian claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by Gerontology Research Group (GRG). If her claimed age were validated, she would have been the second-oldest living person in Brazil, behind Inah Canabarro Lucas.

Biography[]

Albertina Alves de Albuquerque claimed to have been born in Vacaria, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil at 2:00 PM on 9 November 1909.

Alves de Albuquerque was raised by her uncles in a typical house, in the countryside of the city of Vacaria in 1913, when she was four years old.

In the 1970s, Albertina, her third husband and three children from her second marriage, moved to Caxias. At the time, her children were aged 17, 13, and 11. She currently has six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She currently lives with her daughter, Cilma, who was born around 1957.

Alves de Albuquerque has never been hospitalized, though she did have a period of ill health as a (claimed) supercentenarian.

Alves de Albuquerque ended up recovering her health and managed to resume her sewing routine and novel. She celebrated her claimed 110th birthday in November 2019. She takes only one medicine for her heart and another to thin the blood.

Albertina Alves de Albuquerque died in Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil on 13 April 2024, at the claimed age of 114 years.
