Albertine Miton (née Boumier; 5 April 1910 – 17 December 2021) was a French supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2022.

Biography[]

Albertine Miton was born in Cely, Seine-et-Marne, Ile-de-France, France on 5 April 1910, the daughter of Marie. She had two younger siblings. At age 7 or 8, she started working in the fields alongside her parents. She married in 1933 and had two children.

She lived with her son until his death around 2013. She then lived with her daughter Josiane (aged 82 in 2019) and her son-in-law in Savigny-le-Temple. At age 109, she was still able to get around with the help of a walker.

Following the death of 112-year-old Gabrielle Ormand (of Savigny-sur-Orge, Essonne department) on 8 October 2021, she became the oldest known living person in Ile-de-France.

Miton died in Savigny-le-Temple, Seine-et-Marne, Ile-de-France, France on 17 December 2021, at the age of 111 years, 256 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest living person in Ile-de-France and in Seine-et-Marne departement.
