Amos Stanley "Alexander" Grant (10 June 1904 – 28 March 2015) was a Jamaican-American supercentenarian who may have been - excluding Wash Wesley, who could have been born in 1905 - the oldest known living man in the United States at the time of his death. His age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2023.
Biography[]
Alexander Grant was born on 10 June 1904 in St. Vincent, Trelawny, Jamaica to parents Charles Grant (1877–1958) and Christine Campbell (1876–1956), and moved to the United States in 1924. He resided in New Jersey until his death on 28 March 2015 at the age of 110 years, 291 days.
At the time of his death, Grant was the oldest known living man born in the British Commonwealth, and one of the oldest known living people in the U.S. state of New Jersey. He is also currently the oldest known (documented) man ever born in Jamaica.
