Alfonso Maria Rojas Perdomo (31 May 1913 - 29 June 2024) was a Colombian supercentenarian who was the oldest known living person in Colombia from the death of Francisca Mangonez Martinez on 18 March 2024, until his own death. His age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2023.

Biography

Alfonso Maria Rojas Perdomo was born in Palermo, Huila, Colombia on 31 May 1913. 20 years later he acquired a farm on the sidewalk La Primavera of the municipality of Santa María, at that time district of Palermo dedicating itself to agriculture and livestock.

In 1951 he married Mrs. Mary Luz Dussan, and the fruit of this union were born eight children. Lastly in 1962 Don Alfonso widowed. In 1985 at 72 years of age he resided in the municipal head of Santa María receiving the permanent care of his children, who have taken care of him.

In May 2023, he celebrated his 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.

He became the oldest known living man in Colombia, following the death of 113-year-old Efrain Antonio Rios Garcia in 11 January 2024. He later became the oldest known living person in Colombia, following the death of 113-year-old Francisca Mangonez Martinez on 18 March 2024.

Alfonso Maria Rojas Perdomo died in Santa María, Huila, Colombia on 29 Jun 2024 at the age of 111 years, 29 days.
