Alfred "Al" Blaschke (born 4 January 1917) is an American centenarian. In July 2020, he broke the Guinness World Record for the oldest person to tandem skydive. He is the 22nd oldest known living man in the USA and the 3rd Oldest Validated living man in the USA (though only due to the GRG not vaildating many centenarians and the 22nd oldest is probably more accurate)
Biography[]
Alfred Blaschke was born in Jamestown, Wisconsin, USA on 4 January 1917. When he was 7 years old, he moved with his family to Milwaukee. He worked as an aircraft engineer during the World War II.
Blaschke married twice and had one child. He first skydived on his 100th birthday in January 2017. He promised he would do it again on his grandson's college graduation.
Blaschke skydived again on 2 July 2020, at the age of 103 years, 180 days. He broke the Guinness World Record for the "Oldest person tandem parachute Jump". He jumped at 14,000 feet, and reached terminal velocity of 120 miles per hour before the parachute cord was pulled at 6,000 feet. He beat his own record in November 2023 when he Parachuted at the age of 106 With the Governor of Texas he became the oldest living man in Texas when 109 Year old Fortino Rocha died on 14 January 2024
Alfred Blaschke currently resides in Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, USA, at the age of 108 years, 10 days. He is the oldest living man in Texas.
