Biography[]
Alice Emma Little was born in Kent county, Ontario, Canada on 5 August 1878. Her father was William Troughton and her mother was Isabella. She had a sister named Alberta King, married to Fred. Alice married William Taylor Little in Elgin when she was just a teenager in 1894. They had no children together. William died in 1939 and was interred in St Thomas Cemetery in Elgin, Ontario.
After William's death, Alice eventually moved to Whitehorse, Yukon, where she died on February 17th 1992. She received local attention for her old age, and was very popular in her nursing home. She attended Mountainview Church as often as she could.
Little died in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada on 17 February 1992 at the claimed age of 113 years, 196 days.
Alice's age is questionable at this stage. It would seem her husband, who died in 1939, is interred in the same plot as someone named Alice Little, who was buried there in 1959. This still leaves a question over who died in 1992 in Yukon, possibly claiming age 113.
