Alice Mary Hoops (née Bitely; 18 January 1887 – 7 June 1998) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently pending by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Alice Hoops was born as Alice Mary Bitely in a little town called Nady, situated in in Arkansas County, Arkansas, United States, on 18 January 1887. Her parents were Cyrus Bitely (1841–1999) and Mary Frances "Frankie" Landers (1860–1949).
She married Carbo Jaydor Hoops (1883–1955) in 1906. They had six children, including Herbert S. Hoops (1928–2014), Bob Hoops, Merle Austin, and Helen Shoemake.
Alice Hoops died in Faulkner, Arkansas, United States on 7 June 1998, at the age of 111 years, 140 days.
