Allie S. Wilkerson (née Simmons; 7 October 1886 – 21 October 1997) was an American supercentenarian. Her case is validated by the Gerontology Research Group.
Biography[]
Allie Wilkerson was born as Allie Simmons near Gainesville, Texas, USA on 7 October 1886 as the fourth child born to Martin and Mary Ann Simmons. She had six siblings: Alfred, Nora, Ezra, Oscar, Arthur, and Ettie. Her mother died when she was young.
She married Curtis Kellough Wilkerson in Wise, Texas, USA on 13 November 1904. She had 3 children with him: Lester Curtis, Alma, and Irene. Allie's husband Curtis died in 1967. After his passing, she moved to Burleson, Texas and remained there for the rest of her life.
Wilkerson died in Burleson, Johnson, Texas, USA on 21 October 1997 at the age of 111 years, 14 days. She was survived by her daughters, Alma Harper and Irene Demeritt, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
