Alma Florence Abernathy (née Ball; 7 December 1865 – 31 January 1978) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography
Alma Abernathy was born as Alma Florence Ball near Nulltown, Indiana, USA, on 7 December 1865. She was the youngest daughter of Jarvis and Cynthia (née Coe) Ball. Abernathy grew up in the area and married Jesse Abernathy in Alquina on 30 December 1886. The couple had four children. Abernathy lived in Fayette County her entire life. She was widowed in 1950 and outlived all her children.
Alma Abernathy died in Connersville, Indiana, USA on 31 January 1978 at the age of 112 years, 55 days.
