Biography[]

Anderson was born in Minnesota, United States, on 21 January 1910 as the youngest of five children. Her family were devout Christians, and Anderson’s childhood was largely spent at church and partaking in activities at Bethany Covenant Church in Minneapolis.

Anderson graduated high school in 1928. She had started working at Butler Brothers Company the previous day, and would remain an employee of the company for 12 years. While employed there, she met her future husband, pastor Herman Anderson, whom she married on 7 September 1940. The couple had at least two sons, Lee and Tim.

The Andersons were involved in the ministries of the various congregations they served together throughout the 35 years following their marriage. They retired to New Richland, Minnesota, in around 1975, where they lived until Herman suffered a stroke in 1991, shortly after which they moved to Covenant Living in Golden Valley, Minnesota.

Anderson died on 25 May 2020 at the age of 110 years, 125 days. She was survived by her two sons, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was anonymous until her death.
