Alta B. Dilley (née Post; 21 May 1864 – 10 November 1974) was an American supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2021.
Biography[]
Alta Dilley was born as Alta B. Post in Cortland, Trumbull, Ohio, United States on 21 May 1864. Her parents were Moses Cooper Post and Elvila C. Post (née Freer). She married her husband Elmer O. Dilley in Trumbull, Ohio on 24 April 1895. The couple had no children. She was widowed in 1931 and moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1952.
Dilley died in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, United States on 10 November 1974 at the age of 110 years, 173 days.
