She had not been speaking much, but suddenly she spoke. "Papa and Mama is here with me. Acie and Alice (her husband and daughter) is right there at the door, and they've come after me. Get my coat and hat, I'm going home!" Sadie's daughter, Janilou, said that no one spoke for quite some time. Every person there knew that all four of the people she had seen had been dead for years. The next day, Sadie died and went home to heaven. Sadie's grandson, Stanley Kent preached the sermon at the funeral. He called Sadie's death her "homegoing."
