Anastasia Athanassoulas (Greek: Αναστασία Αθανασούλας; 7 June 1898? – 15 August 2009) was a Greek supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography
Anastasia claimed to have been born on 7 June 1898. She married George Athanassoulas and had 10 children. Her eighth child was His Eminence Metropolitan Archbishop, Sotirios Athanassoulas of Toronto and Exarch of all Canada, born in 1936.
At the end of her life, she had 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Anastasia passed away on 15 August 2009 in the village of Lepiana, Arta, Epirus, Greece at the claimed age of 111 years, 69 days. She was buried on 19 August 2009.
