Biography[]
Andree Fehr-de Boulay was born on 7 February 1882, in Nancy, the main city in Meurthe-et-Moselle Department, Lorraine, France. In 1901 she married a Swiss textile merchant in France and moved to Switzerland (municipality of Niederlenz in the canton of Aargau) at a young age.
When she became a supercentenarian, her response was: I don't know what's wrong with people. After 110 years, it's still not over. On her 111th birthday in 1993, she still lived in a single family home with her 80-year-old son.
Fehr-de Boulay died on 19 May 1993 in the nearby municipality of Villmergen in the same canton of Aargau at the age of 111 years, 101 days.
She was validated by the Gerontology Research Group on 29 July 2014.
