Angeles de la Fuente Campo [Spanish: Ángeles] (24 March 1912 – 28 December 2023) was a Spanish supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2022.

Biography[]

Angeles de la Fuente Campo was born in San Justo de los Oteros, Corbillos de los Oteros, Castile and Leon, Spain on 24 March 1912, the second of 12 children (many of whom died in infancy) of Cayetano de la Fuente Garcia and Valeria Campo Martinez. Her father worked as a farrier, which made them move from one place to another.

At the age of 22, she married Jose Nicolas Rodriguez in the church of San Marcelo. They had four children: two twin daughters, who died in infancy, and two sons, Cayetano Rodriguez and Jose Luis Rodriguez.

By March 2021, she had already received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

In March 2022, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian. As of March 2022, she has one living son Cayetano Rodriguez (aged 80 in March 2022), seven grandchildren (some living in Finland), and four great-grandchildren.

Angeles de la Fuente Campo died in San Justo de los Oteros, Leon, Castile and Leon, Spain on 28 December 2023 at the age of 111 years, 279 days. She was the oldest known living person in Leon Province at the time of her death.
