Angelina Torres Vallbona (born 18 March 1913) is a Spanish supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She is currently the oldest known living person in Spain.
Biography[]
Angelina Torres Vallbona was born in the village of Bellvis, Province of Lleida, Catalonia, Spain on 18 March 1913. She had seven siblings.
In March 2023, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
She became the oldest known living person in the city of Barcelona, following the death of 110-year-old Virgilia de Diego Carnicero on 26 June 2023. Following the death of 111-year-old Pilar Calix Busquets on 10 March 2024, she became the oldest known living person the Province of Barcelona. As of her 111th birthday, she had 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and could still use a walker.
She became the oldest known living person in Spain, following the death of 113-year-old Piedad Loriente Perez on 23 November 2024.
Angelina Torres Vallbona currently lives in Barcelona, Province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain at the age of 111 years, 304 days. She is believed to be the oldest known living person in Catalonia since the death of 117-year-old Maria Branyas Morera on 19 August 2024.
