Angeline "Angie" Gladys Lee (née Waterud; 30 November 1906 – 20 February 2017) was an American supercentenarian who is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Angeline Lee was born in Dawson, Minnesota, USA on 30 November 1906. Her parents were Alvin Waterud and Ida (née Thoreson) Waterud. She had one sister Helen Holtan (1914–1994). Her father died in 1965 at the age of 87 and her mother died in 1950 at the age of 65.

She attended Dawson Public School and graduated with the class of 1924. She married Arthur Lee on 2 June 1936. The couple had one son Jon Charles Lee (1939–2016). Arthur died in 2000 at the age of 99.

She had been active in her church, Clarkfield Lutheran, as a Sunday School teacher and was a member of both the Ladies Chorus and Senior Choir at the church. She moved into the Clarkfield Care Center in 2007 after having broken her hip on a shopping trip.

Angeline Lee died in Clarkfield, Minnesota, USA on 20 February 2017 at the age of 110 years, 82 days. She is survived by one nephew George Holtan, three great nieces: Jill Malcolm, Maari Staach, and Tricia Juba.
