Anna Balasova [Slovakian: Anna Balášova] (6 December 1904 – 28 February 2013) was a Slovakian centenarian who, at the time of her death, may have been the second-oldest person to die in Slovakia, behind Hedviga Sekerasova

Biography[]

She was born in Vrbove, Austria-Hungary (now Slovakia) on 26 October 1902. She was raised in Liptov. She had eight children (including Pavlína Matavová). Her daughter was still living at the time of Balasova's 108th birthday in 2012.

Balasova died in Piestany, Slovakia on 28 February 2013 at the age of 108 years, 84 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in Slovakia.[1]
