Anna La Morgia (17 April 1913 - 17 July 2024), known as Suor Serafina, was an Italian supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was the oldest known living nun in Europe and the second-oldest in the world, behind Inah Canabarro Lucas of Brazil.
Biography[]
La Morgia was born in Lanciano, Chieti, Abruzzo, Italy on 17 April 1913. She had a twin sister, who also became a nun.
On 4 March 2024, following the death of 112-year-old Antonia Manzi, she became the oldest living person in the Lazio region of Italy.
La Morgia died on 17 July 2024 in Rome, Lazio, Italy at the age of 111 years, 91 days.
