Anna Leglise [French: Anna Léglise] (née Tecchiato; 1 September 1910 – 9 March 2021) was a Swiss-born French supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2023.
Biography[]
Anna Leglise was born in Tobel, Canton of Thurgau, Switzerland on 1 September 1910, the daughter of Vittorio Tecchiato. She celebrated her 110th birthday in September 2020.
She became the oldest known living person born in Switzerland upon the death of 112-year-old Alice Schaufelberger-Hunziker on 16 November 2020.
Leglise died in Angers, Maine-et-Loire, Pays de la Loire, France, on 9 March 2021, aged 110 years, 189 days. She was the second-oldest known living person in Pays de la Loire, behind Marie-Rose Tessier.
