Anna Maria "Annina" Lippolis (1 October 1913 - 17 June 2024) was an Italian supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Anna Maria Lippolis was born in Noci, Apulia, Italy on 1 October 1913 (claims 18 September). She grew up in the countryside, where she attended the rural school of Murgia Albanese until the third grade. She later taught herself hairdressing. In 1938 she married Giovanni Delfine and they had three children: Lucia, Nicola and Franco.

At the age of 105, Lippolis had nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She enjoys sewing, knitting, and shoemaking; during the COVID pandemic she made masks for locals who requested them, and her shoes are well-known throughout her town. She received a blessing from Pope Francisco for her 107th birthday.

On 18 September 2023, her claimed 110th birthday, she was congratulated with a plaque from the mayor recognizing her longevity. On 1 October 2023 she celebrated her actual 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.

Anna Maria Lippolis died in Noci, Apulia, Italy on 17 June 2024 at the age of 110 years, 260 days. She was the second-oldest living person in the Apulia region, after Rita Rosaria Lotta.
