Anna Marie Mancuso (née Gottone; 18 February 1903 – 30 January 2015) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She is the second oldest known person who ever died in the US state of Nevada.

Biography[]

Anna Marie Mancuso was born in Flushing, Queens, New York, USA on 18 February 1903. Her parents were Antone and Rosemarie Gottone. She had seven siblings. Her family moved to Denver, Colorado when she was six years old. She survived through the influenza outbreak in the 1920s in which her sister Virginia died.

She married Frank Gregory Mancuso on 20 June 1926 in Denver, Colorado. The couple had three children: Rosemarie Morelli (1927–2019), Frank Mancuso (1929–2008) and Virginia Bell (now deceased). They later moved to Grand Junction, where they lived and raised their children. She was widowed in 1999.

Mancuso died in Mesquite, Nevada, USA on 30 January 2015 at the age of 111 years, 346 days. She was the second-oldest living person in Nevada, behind Edna Kern of Reno. She was survived by daughter Rosemarie Morelli, grandson Michael Emery Morelli, granddaughter Carla Morelli-Saurdiff, great-grandson Michael Chad Morelli, great-granddaughter Kortney Morelli Maddock, great-grandson Austin Saurdiff, and great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Age verification[]

In 2014, her family claimed she was born in 1904. Because of early-life records found by her caregiver Erika Garrett found documentation that Mancuso was born in 1903 rather than 1904.
