Anna Seidel (9 November 1913 - 1 April 2024) was a German supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2024. She was the the oldest living person in Saxony.
Biography[]
Anna Seidel was born in Saxony, Germany on 9 November 1913. Her mother died while she still went to school. She celebreated her 110th birthday in 2023 and became a supercentenarian.
In an interview on her 110th birthday, she said that hard work even in her centenarian years was very important to her. She doesn't need any medications and has a doctor who regulary checks on her. At the age of 110, she still lived in her home and was being cared for by her daughter Helga.
Anna Seidel died in Brad Brambach, Saxony, Germany at the age of 110 years, 141 days.
