Anne Dulac (née Detilleux; 21 March 1878 – 7 July 1959/89) was a French woman who was "supercentenarian on paper".
Biography
Anne Dulac was born as Anne Detilleux on 21 March 1878 in France. Her parents were Marie Jean Baptiste Detilleux and Jeanne Marie Courault. On 24 July 1917, she married Robert Dulac, an artist.
Her death certificate let think that she died on 7 July 1989 in Paris, Ile-de-France, France, at the age of 111 years and 108 days.
Age debunking
Her case turned out to be a transcription error. Anne was actually died in 1959, at the age of 81 years, but the cursive writing was not clear and was later transcribed as "1989", making her case age "111 on paper". This case serves as a type example of why it is preferred to have original copies of the documents, rather than a secondary transcription, where possible.
