Annette Sabourin Brunet (4 January 1912 - 8 April 2024) was a Canadian supercentenarian who was the oldest living person in Quebec at the time of her death. Her age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Annette Sabourin Brunet was born in Très-Saint-Rédempteur, Quebec, Canada, on 4 January 1912. She had four children ; Micheline, Claudette, Jacques, and Lorraine. For around ten years, she was the head of a hair salon in Rosemont where her daughters worked.
When she was 100 years old, she broke her femur. She survived COVID-19 twice.
Following the death of 111-year-old Simonne Leduc on 26 October 2023, she became the oldest person in Quebec.
Sabourin Brunet died in Mascouche, Quebec, Canada on 8 April 2024, at the age of 112 years, 95 days. At the time of her death, she was the third-oldest known living person in Canada, behind Helen Doan and Gertruda Gorecka.
