Annius Isidore Sonny (3 September 1911 – 8 May 2020) was a Saint Lucian centenarian.
Biography[]
Annius Isidore Sonny was born in Bar, St. Joseph, Saint Lucia on 3 September 1911 to Egyptian Sonny and William Shoreshork. He had eight siblings (one, Theresa Felicita Sonny, aged 96 was alive in 2019).
He work as a farmer, a security guard, and in a sugar factory. His wife Marie died in 1986, after 48 years of marriage. They had eleven children (5 deceased as of 2017), 39 grandchildren, 102 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great grandchildren as of 2017.
His secret to longevity was hard work, a positive attitude, and his lifestyle.
Annius Isidore Sonny died in Bar, St. Joseph, Saint Lucia on 8 May 2020 at the age of 108 years, 248 days. He is currently oldest known man ever from Saint Lucia.
