Anonymous (born 2 July 1911) is an Irish supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). He is currently the oldest known living person in Ireland, as recognized by the Office of the President of Ireland. He is also the second-oldest known living man in Europe, behind Andre Boite.
Longevity Records
The anonymous man became the oldest known living man in Ireland on 18 February 2018 following the death of Vincent Gavin. On 1 July 2019, following the death of Mary Coyne, he became the oldest known living person in Ireland. He surpassed the age of Luke Dolan on 8 December 2019, becoming the oldest known Irish man ever, excluding emigrants. On 13 November 2020 he surpassed the age of Irish-American James Hanlon to become the oldest known Irish man ever.
Upon becoming the first man in Ireland to turn 109, the Office of the President of Ireland sent him a message and commemorative medallion. He received recognition the following year, after becoming the first male supercentenarian in Irish history and one of just five overall to achieve this milestone in Ireland. He is the first Irish person to turn 110 since Margaret Dolan in 2003.
