Antoine Martinez (16 December 1913 – 16 January 2022) was a French Algerian-born French centenarian. At the time of his death, he was the oldest known living man born in present-day Algeria (depending the status of Laid Ouadah)
Biography[]
Antoine Martinez was born in Oran, French Algeria (present-day Algeria) on 16 December 1913. In December 2021, he celebrated his 108th birthday.
He has many grandchildren (including Sandrine), great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. As of his 108th birthday, he lived with his daughters Arlette and Yolande in Grenoble.
Following the death of 112-year-old Marcel Meys on 15 December 2021, Martinez became the oldest known living man in Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes.
Antoine Martinez died in Grenoble, Isere, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France, at the age of 108 years, 31 days. At the time of his death, he was the oldest known living person in Isere department, and the oldest known living man in Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes.
