Antonia Gomez Vuelta [Spanish: Gómez Buelta] (28 August 1908 – 15 May 2019) was a Spanish supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Antonia Gomez Vuelta was born in Columbrianos, Leon, Castile and Leon, Spain, on 28 August 1908. Antonia devoted herself to pastoralism at the age of 9, activities that she performed until she was 16-year-old. In the following years, she worked in the countryside and in the mill and went to sell her products in the local markets.
Antonia Gomez Vuelta was married and had several children. After her husband's death in 1990, she continued to live in her own home. When she was 103, she moved to an old people's home in Ponteferrada, Leon, Castile and Leon, Spain, where she died on 15 May 2019, at the age of 110 years, 260 days.
