After her marriage she immediately moved to France, to Montbrison, in the Loire region, for work reasons.
In 1963 she returned to Italy, a few months later at the age of 49 her husband died due to an illness. From here she always took care of the family, also working as a waitress in a local restaurant.

She lived at home with her son-in-law Umberto (Giuseppina's husband), and loved playing with children and telling them stories.
A few months before her death she had taken the helicopter for the first time to go to the hospital in Bergamo. Then her health conditions worsened.
