Arbelia Wood (6 April 1885? – 11 March 2005) was an American longevity claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Arbelia Wood claimed to have been born in Arkansas, USA on 6 April 1885, but was more likely born on 6 April 1895 which would have meant an age of 109 instead of the claimed 119.
Wood was married two times and survived two bouts of cancer. She moved to Michigan in the 1930s and lived there for the rest of her life. She said that she had no secret for her longevity. She didn't had any children.
Arbelia Wood died in Michigan, USA on 11 March 2005 at the claimed age of 119 years, 339 days but more likely the age of 109 years, 339 days. At the time of her death She was survived by her brother, sister Mayde Mobley, who was 97, of Mount Clemens, and many nieces and nephews and other extended family members.
