Arthur Peedu (5 September 1916 – 9 February 2022) was an Estonian-Swedish centenarian who was among the oldest living people born in Estonia, and among the oldest known living men in Sweden at the time of his death.
Biography[]
Arthur Peedu was born in Estonia on 5 September 1916.
In 1943, him and his wife Bertha (born in 1921 or 1922, date of death unknown), emigrated to Sweden.
On 5 September 2016, he turned 100.
He died in Skarholmen, Stockholm, Sweden on 9 February 2022 at the age of 105 years, 157 days. At the time, he was the second oldest known living man born in Estonia, and the sixth-oldest undisputed living man in Sweden. His funeral was held on 10 March 2022.
