Arthur Menzies Warmington (18 September 1895 – 11 January 2006) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of his death, he was the oldest Mason in the United States.
Biography[]
Arthur Warmington was born in Morristown, New Jersey, USA on 18 September 1895. His parents were William Warmington, an Irish immigrant and Eliza (née Hammer) Warmington. He had three siblings.
He was married Cora Ayers for 60 years. The couple had one daughter: Phyllis Lavergne (born 1924).
He worked a plumber and pipefitter for 61 years, starting at the age of 14.
In 1927, he was one of the founders of the Fairchild Fire Co. in Morris Township, and an early member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 334 in Morristown.
Warmington died in Burlington, New Jersey, USA on 11 January 2006 at the age of 110 years, 115 days. He was survived by his daughter Phyllis LaVergne, one grandson Jay LaVergne and two nephews Robert Warmington and William Warmington.
