Asayo Sato [Japanese: 佐藤アサヨ] (22 September 1911 - 27 September 2024) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Asayo Sato was born in Japan on 22 September 1911. In September 2021, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
Sato's age was verified by the MHLW, Japan, Yu Li, et al., and validated by the GRG on 28 May 2023.
In September 2023, Sato was reported as the oldest living person in Saga Prefecture.
Asayo Sato died in Imari, Saga Prefecture, Japan at the age of 113 years, 5 days.
