Augusta Oteiza (née Duprat; 3 May 1912-10 June 2024) was a French supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Augusta Oteiza was born in Cauneille, Landes, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France on 3 May 1912. She took care a lot of her family. During the ceremony of the New Year's wishes in January 2020, she was honoured with a medal by the mayor of Tarnos. In 2022, she moved into a nursing home.
On 4 June 2022, following the death of 111-year-old Therese Daban, she became the oldest living person in Landes department.
On 13 December 2022, following the death of 113-year-old Juliette Bilde, she became the oldest living person in the region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Augusta Oteiza died in Boucau, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France at the age of 112 years, 38 days.
