Avelina Mouzo Leis (27 December 1904 – 28 December 2017) was a validated Spanish supercentenarian. She was the oldest validated woman living in Spain since the death of Ana Vela-Rubio on 15 December 2017, although the unvalidated case Magdalena Oliver Gabarro claim to be older. She also the second-oldest validated person living in Spain, behind Francisco Nunez Olivera.
Biography
Avelina Mouzo Leis was born in Vilar, Cereixo, Vimianzo, Galicia on 27 December 1904 (but claimed to be born on 24 December). After marriage, she moved to A Ponte do Porto, Camarinas. She was a farmer for her whole life. She had three children. Only one daughter was alive on her 110th birthday in 2014. She also had four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mouzo Leis died in A Ponte do Porto, Galicia, Spain on 28 December 2017, one day after her validated 113th birthday.
