Avis Sarah Sheedy nee Rixon (25 May 1908 – 25 June 2018) was an Australian supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography
Avis Sheedy was born as Avis Sarah Rixon in Uralla, New South Wales, Australia on 25 May 1908. Her parents were George James Rixon and Sarah Jane Hogbin. She married James S. Sheedy in 1933.
In May 2018, Sheedy celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
Avis Sheedy died in Armidale, New South Wales, Australia on 25 June 2018 at the age of 110 years, 31 days.
