Babette "Betty" Endres (1 August 1910 – 12 January 2023) was a German supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) on 24 April 2021.
Biography[]
Babette Endres was born in Bayreuth, Bavaria, Germany on 1 August 1910. She had nine siblings: the most of them are over 90 years. She worked as a commercial clerk at Sewing Machine Hensel.
As of August 2019, she had one daughter Traudl Heueck (aged 76), two grandchildren (Birgit Sturm and Sibylle Eisenberg) and two great-grandchildren (including Nadine Sturm and Selina Eisenberg).
In August 2020, she celebrated her 110th birthday.
Babette Endres died in Bayreuth, Bavaria, Germany, on 12 January 2023 at the age of 112 years, 164 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in Bavaria, the second-oldest known living person in Germany (after Charlotte Kretschmann), and the third-oldest known living German-born person (after Maria Aulenbacher and Kretschmann). She was also the last (known) person in Germany born in 1910.
