Beatrice Jensen (née Kearley; 3 November 1912 – 8 August 2023) was a Canadian supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Beatrice Jensen was born in Belleoram, Newfoundland, Canada, on 3 November 1912. She moved to Cape Breton with her boyfriend, Abraham Jensen, around 1940. Beatrice and Abraham married on 31 July 1940, and had two children. Abraham Jensen died on 11 March 2005 at the age of 92. In February 2020, Jensen was living in the house of her daughter Betty Ross in New Waterford. In November 2022, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
Beatrice Jensen died at the Maple Mill Manor nursing home in New Waterford, Nova Scotia, Canada, on 8 August 2023, at the age of 110 years, 278 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in Nova Scotia.
