Beatrice Pruitt (née Flenory; 22 May 1912 – 27 July 2023) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Beatrice Pruitt was born in Hope, Arkansas, USA on 22 May 1912. Pruitt's mother died when she was 7 years old. Her father remarried and had 12 more children.
She moved to Tipton, Oklahoma in 1932 where she had two daughters, Mamie, who died several years ago, and Alberta, who lives in Santa Maria, California. Her husband's name was Van Pruitt. He died in 1948.
After living in Dallas, where she worked in a nursery school for nine years, Pruitt and her family moved to California in 1968, where she lived in various locations including Santa Maria, Lynwood and Cerritos.
Pruitt's family finally moved to Hesperia, California in 2000 with her late daughter, Mamie and her son-in-law Jimmie Smith.
She celebrated her 110th birthday in May 2022.
Pruitt died in Corona, California, USA on 27 July 2023 at the age of 111 years, 66 days.
