Beatriz de Oliveira Soares (20 May 1899 – 13 December 2010) was a Brazilian supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2012.
Biography[]
Beatriz de Oliveira Soares was born in Itapetininga, Sao Paulo State, Brazil on 20 May 1899. She began her studies at the Praca da Republica School in Sao Paulo and graduated as a teacher in Sao Carlos, following in the footsteps of her father, Mariano de Oliveira, whose career dedication gives name to a school in Pirituba.
In 1937, she moved to Sao Paulo. She married with Joao Soares Filho, with whom she had four children: Glaura (now deceased), Celia, Marilia Siegl, and Dirceu.
Beatriz de Oliveira Soares died in Sao Paulo City, Sao Paulo State, Brazil on 13 December 2010 at the age of 111 years, 205 days.
