Belle Garfinkel (née Luban; 26 April 1902 – 8 March 2013) was a Latvian-American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography
Belle Garfinkel was born in Rezekne, Russian Empire (present-day Latvia), on 26 April 1902. Her parents were Henry and Esther Luban. All five of Garfinkel' siblings lived beyond the age of 90, one surviving to 103. She married Harry Garfinkel. The couple had three children: Paul (born 1926), Carol (born 1930) and Joan (born 1932). Her husband died in 1964 at the age of 67 years. She had 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Garfinkel died in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, on 8 March 2013 at the age of 110 years, 316 days.
