Bertha Chapa Maltos (20 September 1912 – 22 April 2023) was a Mexican supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Latin American Supercentenarians (LAS) and recognized by LongeviQuest (LQ).

Biography[]

Bertha Chapa Maltos was born in Coahuila, Mexico on 20 September 1912.

On her 107th birthday in 2019, she celebrated with many members of her family at a popular restaurant.

In September 2022, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.

Bertha Chapa Maltos died in her sleep from natural causes in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico on 22 April 2023 at the age of 110 years, 214 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in the Mexican state of Morelos.
